Easter, He is Risen!

For Easter our church has a service outside at the lagoon at UCSB. Dan played a song during the service while Sage and I hung out on a blanket. Afterward we went to Ben and Lauretta Patterson's home for great meal with lots of friends.

Arizona!

So I finally have found some time to post pics from our trip to see Dan's mom and grandma out in Green Valley, AZ. We had a blast and are so grateful for our time out there. The week started off with Sage having a bad cold and fever and ended with Great Grandma having a fever as well =( But other than that we had a fantastic time! Thank you Great Grandma, we can't wait to see you again!!!

Hiking at Madera Canyon, Green Valley, AZ

It's definitely not a vacation without a hike up in Madera Canyon. The weather was so beautiful that we ended up going on two hikes. The first one was to an old abandoned mine - too cool, and the second was a more scenic route with a view of snow up on the tops of the mountains!

The Tucson Zoo

What fun we had at the zoo in Arizona, Sage loved watching the animals and listening to the whooping monkeys =) I think his favorite moment though was being able to feed a giraffe just like his mommy and daddy did in Kenya =)

Golfing in Green Valley

While on vacation in Arizona Dan and I were able to sneak away for some golf (Dan plays, I drive the cart, hehe). Thanks Grandma Bos (sorry for the blur!) for hanging out with Sage while we were out playing!

Sage's dedication

Sage was dedicated this past Sunday at church. What a gift it is to have Sage in our lives and what an awesome opportunity we have to teach him about Christ. Please join with us in praying that Sage would come to know Jesus soon and that we as parents would have the grace, mercy, and strength to do our best in serving Jesus as we love and teach our son. The verse we picked out for Sage is this, we pray that Jesus "would grant you, according to the riches of His glory, to be strengthened with might through His Spirit in the inner man, that Christ may dwell in your heart through faith; that you being rooted and grounded in love, may be able to comprehend with all the saints what is the width and length and depth and height - to know the love of Christ which passes knowledge; that you may be filled with all the fullness of God." Ephesians 3:16-19
